Against Me! performing “The Disco Before the Breakdown” in Hartford, Conn., on Oct. 25, 2003. Turns out this was the first show for Greg Horbal, guitarist/vocalist for The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid To Die, who was 15 at the time.

via anderslife: In the 16th November 2011. I went to see my favourite band LC! I was so excited sadly that was the only place I’ve been to that I’d had been able to buy a drink but I wasn’t legal then.

That day I got my first Iphone my dad took me to the station. I waited for Alison which I got to say she got more tits than the other Alison. I waited on the Newark Penn Station until she got there then we got into to the PATH train to the World Trade Center which is only one PATH Train you can get there to later run across the Platform to the other train to 23rd st in Manhattan. I don’t remember where we got off but we where somewhere in underground we walked to NYC Subway side I ask how to get to the street the Bowery Ballroom. I knew but needed to make sure because I got an awesome luck finding places for the first time. We got into the the train I think it was the Blue line or yellow I don’t remember numbers of train because I never go in NYC that much. We stopped in our stop we where like 6 blocks away not that far. When we got inside that door there it led to a staircase that led downstairs there was a blue light in there it seemed like those UV lights. I was so dead scared because I never been to place like that. Still the first and last place like that I’ve been to. When I got in it was a bar place and lots of older people, probably people in their late 20s. And they seemed so cool.

We sat somewhere there, and then we just talked it has been so long that I don’t really remember what we talked about. Then we got up stairs where the thing was happening I can’t explain how excited I was. It was my first show ever. And I was about to see Los Campesinos play that band from that english land far away. I think even though the band was formed in Cardiff I think none of them are Welsh. I always love their song they just make my down moods better.

I was shouting all their songs as if I knew them by hear which except for two songs I actually did know by heart every song they sung.

I even got to touch Gareth…

It was an awesome night. Then after around 10 or 11 maybe midnight Alison and I stopped by a small pizzeria nearby she ate a slice of pizza and we were talking on how awesome it was.

Then we went our way back home the same way but in reverse. Waiting for the subway train was quick but when we got to the PATH platform side of that underground place we waited for a long time maybe around 40 minutes. During the waiting an older dude maybe in his 30s maybe older he had piercings and body mods (not excesive mods and piercings) gave me a what’s up nod. Maybe because I was a Teen that dressed good with a septum I don’t know. But I do know I dressed so good that day and I had a septum. I don’t know but I though a person like that doing that. I though it was fucking cool. Then when we got to New Jersey back to Newark I waited until Allison got picked up then I ran as I could to the bus stop. It was late and night and Newark is a dangerous place. But it was so late that downtown was so fucking deserted. It was so weird for me to see it like that. If It was a safer city I’d be amazed.

I was lucky to catch the last bus. If I had missed that I’d had been so fucked. I got home around 2 or 3 in the morning. Then my dad calls me to ask me if I came home and I said not yet and he picked me up while walking to my house. Then he took me to Wendy’s and bought me food. Then I went home and I did the usual. Which was probably get in my undies and watch television until I’d fall asleep.

I was so happy that night. And I had never done anything like that ever since. Weeks later life got fucked up which until this day is affecting me.

That was the greatest night of my life!

All the hot chicks telling me to throw them in the air ;) that one person who put a know on the back of my head. That headbanging with that awesome group of white people i didn’t know. Getting to know all of these cool people…i’m beat, pics in the am, goodnight, sleep well ^.^

It’s one thing to see someone on TV or hear them through your ear buds or even in a music video. Seeing them live is crazy! I finally saw Ross Lynch in real life! Love him. Yes, I still watch a few Disney shows at 17 years old. Go ahead and judge! Anyway, he’s a cutie and a really good singer. I even got the whole band to sign a post I purchased before the concert! All 5 were sitting at a table signing merchandise after the show. I said things like, “You guys are awesome!”, “You guys rock!”, and “The show/concert was a lot of fun!” They were so polite! Ross, Riker, and Ratliff said either, “Thanks so much!” or “Thanks so much for coming to the show!” I wish that took pictures, but my sister got one of me by Ross when he was signing the poster!

Don’t mind me while I’m fangirling over here!
